Putting Things Into Perspective

I'm along with everyone else in the world when I say that the people of Chile are in my thoughts. The devastation is awful (although certainly could have been worse if it had hit in a more populated area). The people of Chile seem to be handling it well from what I can see on TV, which obviously is not always accurate. Although I do know that they are not asking for outside assistance at this time, so they must have themselves fairly well taken care of for the time being. I'm not really sure that there have been more natural disasters lately or it has just seemed that way but hopefully seeing the hardship that so many people in these countries are going through will make people here be grateful for what they have.
